2010 Canadian Championships Winnipeg, Manitoba September 3 -5, 2010
Will Sarty of Sackville captured his 10th National Armwrestling title at the 31st Canadian Armwrestling Championships in Winnipeg. Competing in the60kg class Will had little trouble with his competition taking both the right and left hand classes.
Shawn Ross of Kingston won his 4th Canadian title taking the 100kg Masters division with his right arm. Shawn was 3rd with his left arm in the Masters then took 5th with his right and left in the Senior (open)classes.
The Bayers boys showed why they are a dominating force in Atlantic Canada. Competing in the 85kg class; Ralphie came off the “B” side and crushed last year’s champion Lee Saitz twice in the final. This was Ralphie’s first Canadian title. He was also 4th with is right. Twin brother Randy (80kg) took a second with both arms to Anthony Dall’Antonia, who is one of the premiere armwrestlers in North America.
In other action Mark MacPhail and Rick Pinkney were both 4th in their respective divisions. Mark of Ben Eoin in the 100kg right and left hand classes. Rick was competing in the Masters 80kg right hand class.
