Monday Night Wars 15 Dalhousie University & Porters Lake Pub
|
This Monday Night Wars took place over 2 Saturdays. On the first Saturday Tim Wrigley defended both his BOTA Lightweight Belts. In the Left arm he was up against a very determined Will Sarty. Although Will put up some valiant fights, and took Tim once in a hook it was not to be. Tim held onto his belt with a 4 matches to 1. The right hand was another story. Rejean Allain has been chomping at the bit for some time trying to get a Championship match. He would not this opportunity pass him by. Tim pulled out all the stops but could not slow Rejean down. Rejean won 4-0. In other matches that day Jeremie Hachey continues to improve as he dispatched Terrence Wrigley with his right and Gary Laird in the left - both 3-0. Jeremie will be the one to watch in 2011 as his ability is growing by leaps and bounds. And he is only 19! Mark Crouse and Wayde Graves had a best of 5 in the right and left. They had some great matches with both arms. Wayde took the left and Mark took the right by identical scores : 3-1. On Saturday the 15th there were 4 challenge matches. In the first 2 it was Scott Weir and Trevor Adams in a best of 5 right and left. In both cases Trevor was no match for Scott as he went down 3-0 in both arms. The next 2 challenges were BOTA and had Mathew Purdy challenging Rick Pinkney in the right and his brother Ryan in the left. These challenges followed the same format - Matthew went up 3 -0, but Rick and Ryan both came back to win 4 straight matches Also on this day we ran a triple elimination open class with 8 competitors. As expected Shawn Ross took the right over Ralphie Bayer. However the big surprise was Ralphie's left. Ralphie completely dominated taking out both favourites: Shawn Ross and Shaun Deveau. |
